Black Soldier Fly Farming

About Us

The black soldier fly (BSF) is a super efficient waste converter.

Using the black soldier fly we are able to compost waste food and manure into great quality animal feed and compost in super fast speed. BSF as adult flies will live for up to 8 days and during that time they only want to breed. They do not eat as adult flies and are rarely seen even around fully working BSF composting units. The female BSF after mating will lay up to 900 eggs inside a purposely built composting unit. The eggs will hatch into larvae and begin consuming food scraps at a remarkable speed. 3 weeks later the larvae are on a mission to find a nice place AWAY from the composting unit to pupate. BSF composting units take advantage of their movement and trap the larvae into collection buckets where they are ready to be collected and feed to your chickens, ducks, frogs, fish, lizards, pigs, birds etc. Food to Food.
